一、意思不同
1、silent意思：不说话的；沉默的；很少说话的；不爱说话的
2、still意思：静止的；平静的；安静的；寂静的
二、用法不同
1、silent用法：silent在句中常用作定语或表语，偶尔也可作宾语补足语。silent作表语时，后常接介词on〔about〕引起的短语，表示“对…保持沉默，对…未提到”。
2、still用法：对想象中应该结束的动作或状态还在继续表示“惊讶”，或是强调始于过去的动作或状态仍在继续，且含有“到目前为止”的意思，所以多用于一般现在时态和现在进行时态。
三、侧重点不同
1、silent侧重点：侧重于突出（物）寂静无声。
2、still侧重点：侧重于突出不发出动作。
